Character sketch that I will never use, of a female of a made-up race called the Elven. (NOT elves!) The three spirals on the left of her neck denote her rank, while the multi-coloured tattoo is the visible symbol of her clan.
Done in pencil first, coloured in with 'metallic' pencil crayons. Oh, the technicality.
The edges of her top (what's visible anyway) are meant to look iridescent-y, but actually look rather scrabbly and a bit of a mess. Oh well, I tried.

[Edit as of 7/1/08] Good god, how juvenile and unoriginal does that description make me sound? Basically, I wanted to draw a pretty, and ended up with this. The only bit that I still agree with is the shoddy work on the top and the clan tattoos. Not elves! indeed.
