Circus memory

Sat May 1, 2004, 12:43 PM
I wish I could download memories onto the computer, or transfer them onto something more permanent than my mind.
I've been to see the Mosow State Circus, on friday night, and it was fantastic, and I'm forgetting things already.
I want to remember.
I hate forgetting so much of what I do and what I see, I hate not being able to remember so much of what I've done.
I hate the way the memories fade so soon after they appear, like holding water in your hand.
I hate it.
I want to remember.

almost a month, goddammit!

I don't particularly know why I'm bothering to update this thing, except it lets me commits stuff to memory that I'm probably going to forget. Why I'd want to remember any of it is unclear, but I'm doing so anyway.
Have been ill for the past week and a half, with a bad cough. My friends kept giving my worried glances, especially when I kept having extended bouts of hacking coughing, then announcing I could taste blood.
Blood tastes better if it enters your mouth intentionally, not as the result of illness.
Am going to a friend's 18th bday party this wednesday, theme is "porn". Yes, porn. My wardrobe is soooo not suited to this theme, and neither am I. I've eventually decided to go as somebody's 'pet' dancing girl, in a long skirt, low-cut denim top (unless I can get a more slutty one cheaply that fits), 3 inch leather collar (I love my collar, it has a large metal loop on the front and is black leather) and a chain/lead.
Found v. good round-robin Kurt/Toad mpreg slash fic, although technically it isn't mpreg as Todd changes gender halfway through. Is nearly finished, and I wanna know what happens!! *severely impatient*
I turn 18 in three weeks, and have been giving the very unhelpful answer of "Don't know" to anybody who asks me what I would like as a present. I do however want a pair of very expensive, very hefty metal plated black leather boots (with buckles) that I'm going to persuade one of my parents to get for me/give money towards. I will have those boots, dammitl!
Current music: Varying between the Rasmus, Spineshank and my dad's Steeleye Span cd. (Traditional-folky songs.) :)

Damn, forgot to update AGAIN!

I keep meaning to update this damn thing, then forgetting.
Went on holiday during the half term, to Amsterdam. Is full of crazy cyclists that assume right of way even when wrong. Mum lead us into the edge of the red-light district by mistake, which was intresting.
Cleethorpes is a shithole, it really is! Went on a school trip there on tuesday, with the intention of taking part in the photography part of the work. Ended up spending nearly 2hrs in arcades, playing on 2p slot machines as it was PISSING IT DOWN WITH RAIN! oh, happy happy times(!)
As result of trip, now have to write small piece about why Jimmy Saville was in Cleethorpes, due to getting his name on the postcards we'd done on the way there on the train. (write down the name of a celebrity on the card, get one back on return journey, do written piece for 3 weeks wednesday.) When asked to think of a celebrity, whose first thought is Jimmy fucking Saville?! Mind you, I pity the person who got my friend's. She wrote Adolph Hitler, then gave me a funny look when I suggested he could be planning world domination via a cunning plan involving seagulls and a fleet of pedaloes.
Snow! We had about 3/4 inches of snow overnight on thursday, which resulted in me getting up 30 minutes earlier than normal on friday and walking abou 1.5 miles to tram, to arrive at school 5 minutes late. It was fun going for a snowball fight at lunchtime though.
Have finally seen Return of the King, is bloody good film. Is bloody good triliogy, with very slash-esque hobbity-frolicking near end. Three hobbits in a bed, wheeee!
Oh god, too much sugar. I always eat too much sugar at the cinema, but I think I've gone a little OTT today.
Must get page to upload to get email address to enter scribbley art into Xmen: Evolution fanart contest. bloody temperamental page/connection.

It's not forgetfulness, it's lack of a life

Bah, haven't updated in a week. Stuff's been happening, but it's mainly been little funny things.
Like when me and Rosa sat saying "Mine! Mine! Mine!" at each other during lunch, imitating the seagulls in Finding Nemo. They were cool seagulls!
Went book shopping to Meadowhell on Monday, one of my favourite discount books shops is closing down, and there was a massive sale on. Got 20 books for £ 10, and a packet of strawberry TomandJerry bun-mix from Sainsbury's.
Have found a very nifty Xmen Evolution fanart-contest site, [link] which has oooooodles of funny contest entries. And some slashy ones!! :D

3 days in one!

Gah, I keep forgetting to update this damn thing. I'm not even sure why I'm bothering, but it gives me something to do.
Tuesday.
Set of for uni interview, 2 hours by car over the Penines by way of a nice little road called Snake Pass. Snow warnings out in force, only wintery weather notable was the white tops of the hills and the fact that it was FREEZING! Preston has a least 2 weird-y shops and a comic shop, which makes me happy. Although saying that got me called a nerd by my mum. Excuse me, nerd?! I'll have you know I'm a hybrid-freak, and comfy where I am! Panicky revising during car ride for geography essay writing exam next day. Up till 11.30 writing out case study notes, to try to memorise them a bit better. Found out I missed the dissection of a fish head to find the gills, am wicked pissed about that. We practically never do fun practical stuff, and the one time we do, I miss it! On better note, was told I will be offered a place at the uni. *happyhappy*

Wednesday.
Got up earlier than normal as freaking arctic front had arrived. Car locks were frozen solid, dad managed to get the front passenger door open but then couldn't close it, as it refroze. Caught bus, sat on bus reading panic-written case study notes. Got to school, stood outside our classroom (which is NEVER OPEN!) rereading notes and eating part of the chocolate bar I'd shoved in my pocket. Ah, sleep-deprived and sugar high, what a wonderful way to start and exam first thing in the morning! Did exam, wasn't as evil as expected but was still evil. Wrote just over 7 pages, a remnant of the days when I took GCSE history and had to write PAGES in a short time. Missed maths lesson, both geography lessons were cancelled, and we only had one and a bit archaeology lessons as it was snowing so bad, the teacher decided to let us go early so we could get home. Walked into town to catch bus, got to bus stop, many people stood there. Hmmm, something not right here. Bus didn't turn up, got another to Hillsborough, then walked home from there, a 40 minute walk uphill along icy pavements. Took 2.5 hours to get home, normally takes just under an hour. oh well, I didn't collapse of hypothermia so it's alright.

Today.
Nearly fell on my butt several times walking from the bus stop to the school door, as all the lovely snow from yesterday had frozen overnight, so the pavements were solid ice. Spent part of my free lessons trying to do maths catchup from monday, got stuck so doodled in my notebook instead. At lunch walked down to shop with Jenna for her to get some dinner, she got a tuna sandwich that was literally DRIPPING TUNA MAYO. *feel nauseous* I hate tuna mayo. Got home in normal time today, and on opening door smelled my mum's homemade chicken and mushroom soup. *happy* best damn chicken soup I've ever tasted. None of that horrible worm-noodle, thin, runny tastless slop for me, this is proper thick soup.
I'm gonna stop now, I'm getting hungry.
